Midland Minor Allstar Update

17 June 2017 – Midland Minor American vs Midland Minor National

Midland American All-Stars watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-2 loss to Midland National on Saturday. Midland National took the lead on an error in the first inning.  An error scored one run for Midland National.  Midland National scored eight runs in the sixth inning and was driven with a single by Alex McFarland’ single, a walk by Chance Culley, a single by Aaron Valentine, a fielder's choice by Jason Barrineau, a double & single by Keaton Bennett.  Sam Burks and Cole Moss each drove in one run to lead Midland American All-Stars.

Midland National had 12 hits in the game. Aaron Valentine, Keaton Bennett, Mason Kelly, and Zen Taylor each collected multiple hits for Midland National.

16 June 2017 – Midland Minor American

An early lead helped Midland American All-Stars defeat Lexington National All-Stars 9-1 on Friday (rain delay from Thursday evening).  Midland American scored on a double by Logan Gadberry, an error, and a single by Robbie Murphy in the first inning.  They secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fifth inning. Their big inning was driven by a single and stolen base by Trey Craig and a double by Ayden Gallegos. Bryson Steele went three and two-thirds innings, giving up one run, one hit, and striking out five.  Ayden led Midland with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-2 on the day. Midland was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Tyler Hernandez made the most plays with seven.

16 June 2017 – Midland Minor American

Midland Minor National started got their Allstar journey out with a bang on Friday beating the CWC Allstars 20-5.  Landon Jeffcoat made is mark with a solo homerun in the victory over CWC.
